one of my absolute favorite places in fresno. food is great with large portions, servers are friendly and though it's a fast paced /very packed restaurant you don't feel that rush to go in and out in 20 min. it's an old country style vibe this is one of those places i wished i could gatekeep but its too good to hide.

It was my first time there! Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and delicious food!! I sat out in their heated patio area, and had it all to myself, and was not forgotten out there! Absolutely great service, thank you..... Highly recommend this place!

Stopped here on the way to Yosemite. They have REALLY good service. A lot of workers walking around, refilling drinks when they get a chance, friendly and fast. The restaurant was a bit packed when we went in on Friday noon. - Espresso Martini 3.9/5 Strong, pretty good espresso martini. - The Works Omelette 3.7/5 HUGE omelette. Cheesy, meaty, it really hit the spot for an omelette. Definitely can taste all the different kinds of meat in there. - Potatoes 1.2/5 A big let down. Wasn't crispy, tasted soggy. - Steak & Eggs 1.6/5 Steak we asked for medium rare but came out medium well. Underseasoned. Tough. - Hash brown 4.7/5 Hash browns were very crispy on top and soft underneath. - Potato Salad 5/5 Got to try the potato salad. It was AMAZING. Literal definition of what a potato salad should be. Free parking in lot

Always loved red apple cafe and the potatoes they serve. Staff are always friendly, attentive, and know the perfect time when to check up on me while I have a mouthful of food. Honestly, their crabs egg Benedict are my favorite, but I wanted to try something new today. The calamari steak was not what I imagined (imagine calamari the side, but one big piece). It was bouncy and very meaty, but I loved it as a seafood lover. By far one of my favorite breakfast places

This breakfast place is always ful for good reason. The service is friendly and swift and the kitchen is putting out delicious meals. Although the dining room is usually full, there will be seating available on the refurbished patio as well as to go options. Don't skip the chorizo breakfasts and delicious drip coffee which is refilled often!

It has been awhile since I have been here. Still yummy. Waitress is attentive; took my order immediately. So many food choices here, but I went traditional. Plenty of space inside, but parking space can be an issue here. Overall, I say this is a gem in the Northern part of Fresno Area.

This is apparently one of the best breakfast spots in Fresno. Judging by the number of cars in the parking lot early on a Monday morning, everyone knows this. Red Apple Cafe is a wonderful diner that has been service Fresno for over 35 years. They pride themselves on offering an extensive menu made with fresh and mostly locally-sourced ingredients and served in a comfortable atmosphere. You'll find a variety of benedicts, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and other interesting others. They even have salmon and calamari on the menu. ___F O O D___ Red Apple Scramble: Ground beef, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, cheese. It was everything I wanted in a scramble. Tasty. Eggs were fluffy. Good amount of meat. Plenty of cheese. Their home fries were nice! I'm rarely actually excited about home fries since most seem previously frozen and remind me of a hospital cafeteria. However, the home fries at Red Apple Cafe were tender, moist, and flavorful. I loved those deliciously chard bits where the potatoes were kissed a little longer by the griddle. There was also some decent herbage going on. Country Fried Steak & Eggs: This was my wife's order. Much like the scramble, this was everything we could've asked for in country fried steak. A generous piece of steak was fried very nicely and smothered with a delicious country gravy. I like how they fried the steak. It was breaded and fried in a way that preserved the crispiness so it did not get too soggy from the gravy. It came with a choice of toast or pancakes. My wife ordered the pancakes and was quite impressed. They were both properly light and fluffy - a challenge for more places. Chocolate Chip Pancakes: My FIL ordered this. Same notes as above, just with chocolate chips. He must've really liked them! FIL quickly finished those pancakes despite the large portion. I will note that Red Apple did not provide a container of maple syrup. It looked like he was given one of those disposable containers of "syrup" product. ___S E R V I C E___ Phenomenal. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Servers took good care of us, answered any questions our family had, and made some wonderful suggestions. Kitchen staff was also amazing. It felt like our food was ready quite quickly considering how busy the place was. ___E X T R A I N F O___ -Just needed to mention this again. Portions are generous. Honestly, this was a wonderful breakfast. There aren't very many diners where I live now, so I always a appreciate them these days. Red Apple Cafe is about as good as it gets for breakfast classics. They are worth checking out. We look forward to having breakfast here again next time we are in Fresno.
